Te Mata Awatea Cabernets Merlot & Bullnose Syrah presented in a wooden twinbox, with wine knife. First made in 1982, the Awatea continues to represent the best of the classic Hawke's Bay cabernet/merlot blend. Floral aromas with intense blackberry, currant and dark plum flavours lead to a rich, supple palate with a sustained finish. Awatea will continue to evolve in bottle for ten years from harvest. The Bullnose is a dark ruby colour with aromas and flavours of violets, black cherry liqueur and spice, intermingled with notes of prune and raspberry. The rich, full flavoured palate displays velvety, even tannins.
