Attorney is a powerful statement of Marlborough Pinot Noir, a wine with beguiling elegance and complexity. Planted in 2002, the Attorney Vineyard is situated in the Southern Valleys subregion producing fruit that has thick skins and small berries contributing to the dark colour and bold tannin structure. A broody, dense Pinot Noir with heady aromas of coffee beans, dried herbs, and freshly picked black cherries. On the palate, the smooth rounded cocoa tannins are balanced by the youthful acidity and subtle hints of toasty oak.

Classically Hawkes Bay in style this Chardonnay reveals a fragrant nose of grilled peach and nectarine stone fruit, with complexing cashew characters from subtle French oak. A silken textured mouth feel unfolds with layers of fruit and delicate oak spice, subtle mealy flavours and wonderful acidity.

This delicious red wine displays seductive dark berry notes with perfumed aromas of violets, dried herbs and spicy oak. The palate is soft and smooth with sweet fruit and supple tannins providing a moreish glass of red. Showcasing the pure expression of Marlborough, Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc is crafted from vineyards in the region's key subregions: the Awatere and Wairau Valleys. Awatere Valley fruit brings intense aromas of lime, snow peas, and fresh herbs supported by a backbone of zesty acidity, while Wairau Valley fruit contributes punchy passionfruit, ripe citrus characters, and rich texture.

The Keltern Vineyard, established in 1999, sits east of Maraekakaho and hugs the western edge of the Bridge Pa Triangle and the Ngaruroro river. Ngakirikiri refers to the unique soils that define the Gimblett Gravels growing appellation, uniquely situated on the former Ngaruroro riverbed which was left exposed following a historically significant flood event which permanently changed the rivers course in 1867. The first vines were planted in these arid soils in the 1980's and this small area of 800 hectares has since become New Zealand's epicentre for premium full bodied red wine production with a reputation for beautifully balanced, thought-provoking wines. Ngakirikiri is only made when great vintages produce truly outstanding wines for consideration. This flagship wines represents the pinnacle of their winemaking achievements and a milestone in Villa Maria's history.
