Plantation Rum Isle of Fiji is made with Fijian sugarcane that thrives in this terroir's volcanic soil and some of the purest waters on earth. All this sugarcane is cut by hand using traditional techniques, then turned to molasses at the local mill in Lautoka. This ode to the beauty and traditions of the Fiji Islands is double-aged: first in Fiji in ex-bourbon casks, then travelling by sea (what they like to call "dynamic ageing") before arriving in France for the second stage of the double ageing process. This creates warm notes of exotic fruits and raisins and a rich, round finish.

Gran Reserva 23 is Matusalem's ultra-premium rum - an extra-aged elegant liquid for the sophisticated palate. It is rich and smooth, with a burst of spices venturing in for a memorable finish. The aromas are complex yet refined and very elegant, with a strong finish of caramel, toasted oak, coffee, and banana. The palates shows delightful smoothness, well balanced with traces of honey, vanilla and molasses with a spiced and lasting finish.
