Church Road One is a range of single vineyard wines that typify the character and personality of our best winegrowing sites. This is a fragrant, supple and full bodied Syrah exuding dark berry fruit, lifted floral and spice aromas, and a powerful palate structure that will reward cellaring.

On the nose, a core of dark berry fruit is overlaid with fragrant violet, rose, exotic spice and hints of cracked pepper whilst subtle, savoury oak adds complexity and a chocolate-like richness. The palate is full but finely structured with excellent persistence and focus coming from balanced acidity and ripe tannins.

On the nose, is a complex amalgam of dark berry fruit, cassis and roasted cocoa bean, lifted by more fragrant aromas of cedar, sandalwood and hints of dried lavender and thyme.

Rich plum and berry fruit is lifted by fragrant spice, violet and liquorice aromas. The palate is medium weight and supple with a long finish.

The vines originate from a Heritage clone of Syrah brought to New Zealand around 150 years ago. Produced from the gravelly soils of the Gimblett Gravels, this distinct Syrah shows an aromatic lift of floral and pepper aromatics with lushness and elegance on the palate. Deep red with a purple hue. Tremendous aromatic lift, with lavender and sweet cherries rising from the glass. The palate has significant density but a perfect balance that already encourages drinking.

A full bodied, rich, classic Shiraz with aromas of Black forest fruits, dark chocolate and vanilla with hints of coconut Palate Plum and berries, chocolate and a spice finish.

This is no wallflower, so don't hold back! Dive straight into juicy plums, purple violets, blackcurrant jam and licorice spice. This is big, bold and ballsy drinking. Loaded with ripe plush plums, juicy black cherries, a dash of black olive and a sprinkling of vanilla bean. With a finish of dark chocolate, pepper and cinnamon. You will be reaching for the second glass faster than you can say Fat Bastard.
